You know, images can mean a lot of different things to different people and register in many different ways with each viewer. Case in point, these images from the 2009 - 2010 season at Images Alberta Camera Club. About half of them I thought MIGHT be vote worthy; the other half were (pardon the cliché) a shot in the dark. My favorites out of this lot were: Lucy, Contemplating Time and Fog Man.

Photography on the Fly
Hectic! That's what it's like to capture 40 or more portraits on a school field trip. The children tend to travel in loose groups - kind of like pirates or bandits - only, candy is their loot. Hot items at the gift shops along the way included toy cross-bows, toy bow and arrows, stuffed animals, and jawbreakers the size of uncle Herman's bald melon.
Fully armed and cranked up on jawbreaker juice, these 10 and 11 year olds were challenging subjects to capture! Here are some of the portraits - even a few quiet moments of reflection.

A Spring Shoot
A few shots from a late spring couple shoot for their 5th anniversary - taken at the Royal Alberta Museum and Alberta Legislature grounds. Fun couple - very positive and energetic!

A Family Day Event
Family Day shoot in Red Deer, Alberta. Great challenge this day shooting images of the family in downtown Red Deer back alleys and then at Red Deer College. Limited time for the 2 locations so prep time was essential. Was very interesting to search for specific backdrops and seating situations - decent weather and a very pleasant family!
